How the time zones work
Johannesburg is six hours ahead of New York during US daylight saving time and seven hours ahead in winter. That gives a reliable overlap in your morning: 09:00 in New York is 15:00 or 16:00 in Johannesburg.
The overlap with the West Coast is short, because 09:00 in Los Angeles is already 18:00 or 19:00 in Johannesburg. For West Coast teams we plan fewer, well-prepared live sessions and do more of the build between them.
Privacy and data
The US has no single federal privacy law; obligations depend on your state and sector, for example California's consumer privacy law. Tell us which rules apply to your business on the first call. We agree what information each system may use and where human review sits before anything is built.
