The law we work under
GrowthCred (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Our Information Officer is Phila Ngwenya, reachable at info@growthcred.co.za. Every request reaches a person.
On this website
Everything you send travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is encrypted again at rest by our database provider. Our forms can write to the database but cannot read from it, so even someone inspecting the website's code could not read your submission or anyone else's. Card data never reaches us.
Some of our providers operate outside South Africa. POPIA section 72 allows this where the recipient is bound by protection substantially similar to POPIA, where you consented, or where it is necessary to perform our agreement with you. Our privacy policy lists the providers and the grounds.
In the AI systems we build
Keep confidential customer data out of your first enquiry. During scoping we agree which information each system may use, who can access it, how long it is kept, where human review sits, and who can approve anything sent outside your business.
People stay responsible for prices, commitments, compliance documents and anything customer-facing.
If something goes wrong
No system is perfectly secure. If personal information is ever accessed by someone unauthorised, POPIA requires us to notify the Information Regulator and you, and we will do both as soon as we reasonably can.
