You are still the training
The new person can read a handbook. They still wait for you. How do we do this client? What do we never promise? Where is the form?
You hired them to get time back. Then you spend the month sitting beside them. The business pays for two people and gets one.
A course from the internet does not know your customers, your forms or your exceptions. So you teach it again.
Why another hire does not fix it
Another person still needs the way you do the job. If that way lives only in your head, they will pull it out of you. One question at a time.
Doing it yourself is what you already do. That is the trap. Ignoring it means the next hire starts from zero too.
Write the job down once. Then a new person can ask the notes before they ask you.
What the New Hire Trainer does
It teaches one role. It uses your scripts, your notes and your calls. It is not customer-facing. A client never talks to it.
The new person asks the question they would have asked you. The answer should point at the note you approved. If the note is silent, the answer stays a question.
The same facts can sit in a Company Brain for the rest of the team. The trainer is the path for someone who is new. The brain is the path for someone who already works here.
What stays with you
You still decide what good looks like. You still sign off before they face a customer, a site or a regulator.
You still take the judgement calls. The awkward client. The exception that is not in the notes.
If the notes are wrong, the trainer will teach the wrong job. You own the notes.
Start with one role
Pick the role you hire most often. Write the first week. The questions they always ask. The tasks they must not do alone yet.
Measure it yourself. How many days until they work without you in the chair? Write your number down before you start. Write it again after.
I will not give you that number. I do not have a measured time I can publish. And I will not name a client here. I don't have permission.
You can stop being the only copy of the job.
